After a 13-hour trip back from the UK..back home just before midnight Friday…was not conducive to a usual full effort in this one. No DX except NP4A. Didn’t hear any EU or West Coast. Openings to EN,EM and EL grids off and on throughout. Not much doing on 2 meters…best DX there was FM17 in NC. This was not a very good E-skip season on 6 meters. Caught only one fairly good opening to EU earlier in the season. Time to unplug the 6 meter amp, and plug in the 160 amp. Time to start getting ready for another contest season in the fall. 73! — John, W1XX
Gang: Hmmmm…don’t be to hasty in moth-balling the 6-meter rig. This morning (Tuesday) between trying to learn N1MM for W1AW/1…pretty good opening to EU. 21 Qs mostly from G but also: EI, DJ, OE, ON, S5, F both on CW and SSB. Great fun.
