49 x 21 = 2016,   QRP CW

Turned out to be a really busy weekend but I got in some time.  Seems like the way to score in this one would have been to work a lot of 7QP and IQP stations S&P on Saturday afternoon.  But this is my chance to run with 5 watts and I was determined to run.  (and I thought 7qp continued thru Sunday , oops)  And conditions were not qrp friendly.  I had a couple solid half hour runs last year, but not this time.  A few members pulled me out, tnx!

  1. Last one from my station as it has been configured with a directive antenna and tower…I’ll still be around with a few wires in the trees.

Soapbox : 8 HRS CHAIR TIME. SUNDAY PROPAGATION WAS POOR TO FAIR.
LOW ACTIVITY ON 80 METERS. 20 AND 40 WERE THE MONEY MAKERS.
I WILL SIMPLY CONCENTRATE ON THEM IN THE FUTURE WITH MORE CW.

Always an enjoyable contest. Good to have old friends over.
Focus was on phone operations with me to fill in with CW.

    Comments:
With the 40 meter beam on the ground for repairs, there was not much chance of repeating for top MS score. The results proved that to be right. But hey… the antenna is on the way to good health and be back up soon. We had some fun highlights in the contest like new mult VP2MNI calling in on 20 phone in the last minute. It was fun as always. CTRI’ers worked included K1SX, K1ECU, W1DX, K2LE/1 (Lars KE1J), KA1VMG and probably more worked by the guest op K1XA. If you were on, post your score here.
