Meeting Notice, March 8, 2014

It’s that time again. If you are familiar with the interactive meeting notice skip down to “Topics“. This is an interactive meeting notice. What, you may ask, is an interactive meeting notice? As the phrase suggests, it is a meeting notice which requires interaction by the readers. For example: we need to have topics for presentation at the meeting; we need presenters; we need volunteers to provide lunch; we need to know who is coming to the meeting so the quantity of lunch portions may be determined, and so on. This post will be updated as interactions (comments) are appended.

  1. I plan to attend.

Does the library permit coffee, donuts, etc in their facility???

  2. I took a quick trip to the North Kingstown Free Library today. Got a brief tour by Elizabeth. Nice lady. Nice facility.

“Light refreshments” are allowed. Coffee & doughnuts are OK; lunch probably not.
We can bring our own coffee maker.
Small kitchen: sink, micro, reefer. We just clean it up.
    Free WiFi available.
No TV or projector available but big screen built in if we have our own projector.
Plenty of tables and chairs (the room holds 85!). We set it up and tear it down.

    73 James K1SD

  3. John (W1AN) – If you are bringing the coffee maker and coffee, I will bring some assorted soft drinks and plastic cups.
    Ken K3IU

  4. If you don’t see me right away, I’ll be in the stacks looking for books on the history of Ukraine. Out. 73! — John, UT/W1XX

  5. It looks like you guys have everything under control. I guess I’m not needed! John, W1AN, and I spent some time trouble shooting his K3 that I managed to dis-able.

We also discussed the W1AW/1 operation. We need your input as to the best way to manage this “monster.”

We REALLY need operators! And, we need to establish some “ground rules” so that the aftermath doesn’t get out of hand. Please come with some good ideas as to how we can set up the “plan.”

I wish I could take a rig with me to 4X land, but that’s not going to be possible. We will be moving around too much. Maybe next time!

    73, Mike, K1DM

  6. James has volunteered the coffee. I will bring the projector, cords, and a laptop. If the internet works I’ll demo a proposed scheduling app for w1aw/1. I also have an old video, if time permits.

Ken & James. Remind me to give you something I brought but probably left in the car. Looks like lunch may be doable.

    73,
    John, W1AN
